Since 2016 a free trade agreement between the European Union and Ukraine entered into force and facilitated the international trade between France and Ukraine.
- France had a trade surplus with Ukraine of more than 1 billion EUR in 2017. The French exports to Ukraine represented 1,5 billion EUR and French imports from Ukraine – 0,4 billion EUR.
- Main French exports to Ukraine: pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and perfumes (29%); mechanical equipment (22%); agricultural products (19%); chemistry (10%).
- Main French imports from Ukraine: agricultural products (69%); textiles, clothing and footwear (9%); mechanical equipment (5%); metal products (4%).
